Great week for Rachel and I, as we spent the week in scenic Heidelberg for our annual training conference (where Rachel received some amazing accolades), and visited France with Rachel’s father and stepmom. Our hospital also got several high profile celebrity visitors (hint: Brad Pitt’s other half). All this and our first year summary in this week’s celebrity blog.
Heidelberg Castle has lurked over the city for 800 years, if those walls could talk.

Ron, This is awesome. I am just starting to read into how life has been for you over the past year in Deutschland. I don’t know if you remember or not, but we were in a couple years of elementary school at Thoroughgood together, me you and your sister. Then I disappeared for 7 years, and came back senior year of high school at Cox. Those 7 years gone were spent in Heidelberg. I absolutely loved my time over there and not a single day has gone by since coming back stateside about 18 years ago, that I don’t think about “home.” Enjoy it immensely.
Ps. In fact, my junior prom was in the castle! sweet huh?
